December 2025 is a Cold Moon- and a supermoon!

The Native American names for the full moon in December are the Cold Moon or the Long Night Moon. The Cold Moon gets its name because December is the month when it really starts to get cold- and keeps getting colder.

All genders are welcome to this drumming circle and ritual. Bring your own drum/instruments BUT some drums are available. In person in the herchurch sanctuary.

Drum pictured is a djembe. This goblet-shaped drum is traditionally carved from a single piece of African hardwood and topped with an animal skin as a drumhead. In western understanding, the drum belongs to the membranophone class of instruments in the percussion family. They are called membranophones because sound is created by vibration of membrane stretched tight.
