full moon drum circle

May 2025 is a Flower Moon.

The Flower Moon is named after the flowers that begin to bloom during this month, which serve as a reminder that everything is part of the cycle of life and death in a similar way to how Christians remember Jesus Christ throughout Easter. Using candles, incense or sage smoke for manifestation rituals can be quite potent. You might also anoint candles with any oils and light, float a bloom in your chalice or bowl of water. Hold any stones or crystals, charging them with your intention. You may sit in meditation with the moon, working to release anything that no longer serves you moving into the season of blooming and fruition.

All genders are welcome to this drumming circle and ritual. Bring your own drum/instruments BUT some drums are available. In person in the herchurch sanctuary.

Drum pictured is a
djembe. This goblet-shaped drum is traditionally carved from a single piece of African hardwood and topped with an animal skin as a drumhead. In western understanding, the drum belongs to the membranophone class of instruments in the percussion family. They are called membranophones because sound is created by vibration of membrane stretched tight.
